Materials Exchange

The GMI Materials Exchange launched at the very first Green Maker Initiative Event back in February 2022, with waste and scrap materials donated by a number of different local businesses.

It is open to the public and located on our (MAKE Southwest) first floor in our Workshop Space.

Makers and creatives are able to bring along waste materials from their own practice, and swap them for donated materials that they can make use of. Minimising the amount of waste heading to landfill.

This year we are hoping to undertake an overhaul of the Materials Exchange, giving it a new lease of life and making it more accessible and useful. Watch this space…
